I thought I read earlier this year that the default font for edit controls in OI had changed. But was it only the font for messages that changed?

(I cannot see any change for edit controls in my 3.61, so if you don't tell me otherwise I assume it's a case of memory crosstalk on my behalf…)

As far as I know, it was just for messages.

I think the font was changed in Messages and Popups (and Help) to use bold, same as Win95/98. It was in one of the readme files.

Just a minor correction, it went from bold to regular.

Willy Wonka hijacked by bloody Nestles? Eek - one of the deepest morality plays of the last couple of decades reduced to a shill for foisting pap onto an unsuspecting populace. Shame on you Willy - they must have got to you for you to sell out in such a big way!

What next? chitty chitty bang bang sponsored by Lada?

Father forgive them, they tried not to do it. Turned over a new leaf, and then tore right through it….

Actually, I wouldn't blame Mr. Wonka. If you recall, at the end of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Mr. Wonka gave the factory to Charlie. If anyone sold out, it was Charlie.

Of course, there were various reasons why Chrlie might have sold out. Grandpa might have incurred serious medical bills and the parents of the other children, Veruca, Mike, Violet or Agustus, could have sued after what happened to their child, especially Mr. Salt. Now, forced into insolvency, Charlie had no choice but to turn the factory over.

Of course, any number of incidents could have happened with the glass elevator.

Just food for thought.

Actually, all hell broke loose after the Oompa Loompas formed a union- Oompa Loompa Candy and Novelty Workers local 82.

Charlie, unskilled in labor-management relations was quickly overwhelmed, and looked to the outside for help. Nestle, already skilled in getting into places they shouldn't be, was more than willing to help, and the rest is history…..

Andrew,

Did *I* trigger this conversation?

I always preferred other children's books by Roald Dahl, anyway. I guess he loosened up a bit later in his career. Nestlé can have Charlie for me. Give me BFG any day.

And could you please tell me why your posting is indented one extra position (see the thread list at the bottom)? (Just trying to derail this thread a second time.) :-)
