Given that the partial key is in the dictionary, then I would think it works! I know it works in OpenInsight, and well I have never tested it in Arev. I have my own MFS for indexing so unfortunately I can not test it for you. You could create a new table and set up the index and test it.
You could also create a symbolic for the partial key. I would do that only if there are problems with using the actual field definition.
