I have a client with an NT network and WFW 3.11 clients. We are

trying to figure out why they would start to get fatal errors when more

than 3 machines log into the applications. The errors they get seem

to indicate configuration settings gone haywire, but we've double-

checked all of the pertinent settings that I can think of, and it would

seem that if it were truly configuration settings (in MA) then the first

3 workstations should get the error.

The error message is usually FS133 and has something to do with not

being able to find a file of some sort, like AREVC.INI. We've checked

the existence of TEMP and it's path, directory permissions, number of

licensed users, and ROLLOUT.SUS's location. We've verified that

no mappings are being altered. One question I do have is this - should

they be using the same PIF off the network or should the PIF be local to

each workstation? The application is in ARev 3.12 and they are

using NPP 1.5.

Thanks in advance.

Are you using an NML?

Although I have Novell, I have the PIF configured at each workstaion and find no problems that way.

Are you using windows 95? Are those settings correct? Check to make sure the right amount of EMS is allocated - it should be no greater than 4096 and that the Backround in Misc. is NOT checked off.

Are you sure it is not a particular workstation that could have a wiring or hardware problem?

Well I hope this helps you a bit.

Good Luck
