Don,
Could I please bother you with a problem from last year?
Almost a month ago I made a posting about a problem a client of mine had with getting OR_VIEW to print. You responded with the following (http://www.revelation.com/THEWORKS/OIdiscuss.nsf/ef8405490de3608f85256700005245e4/308FC08A9956EDD18525684A00558303?OpenDocument):
Sounds like a puzzlement. Odd question, if the printer were hooked directly to the workstation temporarily and defined as a local printer, would it print from OR_VIEW? … … … …
The client resumed his contact with me today, and the answer is yes. He says that with the same printer connected as a local printer, with the same printer driver, OR_VIEW prints OK. The way you phrased your question made me belive this fact to be significant and hope you had some useful suggestion about a solution…
Additional info: Workstation: Win98. Printer: HP laserjet 5P. Printer is on the network's NT server.

I'm not sure this will help, but here goes:
If the software will print to a local printer with no other changes, then the desktop can communicate through the print manager to the printer using the properties established in Windows. Somewhere between Windows and the printer itself, the print stream is being lost in Windows NT or the workstation which is servicing the printer (either remotely via a connection or on the desktop itself acting as a printer server for the local workstation and other workstations). There is a difference between a "Jet-Direct" type of connection which does not interact with the desktop directly since it's not bi-directional and a desktop client which is servicing a print queue.
I have sometimes resolved the problem by selecting the "Print Directly to the Printer" tab on the printer properties dialog box and disabling the "Spool to disk to make it finish quicker" option. Sometimes capturing the printer port (LPT1) will work (mostly in MS-DOS programs, though). Try setting the printer resolution to 600 dpi rather than 1200 (if that is selected). I have also made LaserJet 2100's work by using the HP LaserJet 4 driver (with the loss of some functionality).
I wish I could offer more help, but this seems to be a genuine headache.
