Hello everyone,

I'm using QryMethod to retrieve a few columns from a MySQL database and bring the data into OI. One of the MySQL columns has a TIME datatype.

When looking at the data returned from the QryMethod call, the time field is always 0. I've tried a couple of different conversion types for the 3rd argument, but it always returns 0 or 00:00AM.

I've verified that the data in the MySQL database is okay and is in the correct time format.

Any ideas why?

Thanks!

Heh, I didn't even think of doing that.

I just set up another test table and I get the same results in the C/S query window. The time is show as "0:00 AM" for all entries.

hmm .. ok

last test .. use OoO Calc (OpenOfficeOrg .. or Excell if you know no better) and connect through odbc to see if you are getting dates back.

so .. wanting to go to sleep but brain buzzing .. and since i am rewriting my 'sql' api/mfs i thought .. humm .. need to test against mysql .. so

I downloaded the 5.1 beta .. then downloaded the sample database sakila test database ..

it is a rental db ..

I used OoO and created a connection and looked at the rental table .. yep 2 columns with dates and showing great.

then fired up oi .. started csWorkspace and select * from rental .. it loaded some 16044 rtows (not very fast approx 2 minutes.. and i think there are some memroy issues going on with the workspace .. hummm .. ) and the dates show just fine.

example 8/23/2005 10:14 pm

I am using the 'mysql-connector-odbc-3.51.12-win32.msi' that i just downloaded tonight .. (all downloaded as this machine has had another refresh .. oh my)

So .. i wish i had an idea for you .. you might try the sample db (if you can't find it email me off line).

If there is anything else I can do to help post here or email me ..

just for completeness ..

I got an email from carl off line and it seems that with loading the newest odbc driver it appears to be working correctly.
