Unable to Open Boot Media Map (Networking Products)

We have been running AREV 3.03 on a Windows 2000 server for some time with no problems. The clients are mostly Win2K. The NT Service is running on the server and the REVPARAMS file is set to serveronly=true. The All Networks driver is installed and expanded memory is OK. Everything was fine on Saturday but this morning no one could get in. The error message is "Unable to open boot media map." Which I usually associate with the REVBOOT file. The correct REVBOOT file was in use. If I change it to the Non-network REVBOOT I can get into the system fine but no record locking of course. Tried restoring from a known good backup but same problem. Could the NT service be corrupted? Any other ideas? It seems as if it has to be a server problem but I would welcome any suggestions and ideas.
Thanks for your help.

John,
What that message actually means is that the Service is unable to take control over the REVMEDIA.LK and REVMEDIA.OV files (aka media map). Since you have serveronly=true in your REVPARAM file this is preventing your workstations from accessing the system.
If all workstations are having trouble then this is mostly like a problem with the server itself. Easiest thing to try is to restart the Service and see if that fixes it. Next you could restart the server. From there I would check hardware, like the cable and the NIC in the server.
