A client of mine has a problem. Their AREV Administrator left the company and didn't tell anyone what the password for the SYSPROG account is. They now need to get in to the SYSPROG account. Is there any way of recovering the password, or resetting it without knowing what it is?

It is normally possible to hack in quite simply (even easier with OI ), but posting that sort of stuff publicly is not wise.

In the past, Revelation Software has been known to help customers out in these situations. We suggest you contact them directly. They have generally required proof of ownership of the software along with notarised company letters.

We would recommend doing this approach instead of finding someone to hack their way through. There could be various reasons as to why the administrator refused to leave the password and hacking in could create legal liabilities for you and your company.

If your software was properly registered and licensed, Revelation will be able to offer you the assistance you need.
