What progress is being made on fixing the cross reference and relational indexing problem in OI 3.7 runtimes? I now have four customers with software installed and no way to provide them with something as simple as customer name lookup. Can RTI please get this fixed and release the fix?

I appreciate your problem but you can pass partial search and wildcard information to Btree.Extract. A simple piece of coding to at least placate your customers.

Tony, thanks for your message. My problem is that index data is not being generated in the !file - that being the case, I don't think the btree extrace would work, since it seems to me there would be nothing for it to extract from. But I will look at it and you maybe could let me know if it should work under these conditions. BTW do you know which file the indexing transactions are stored in before being used to update the !file? In Arev it was !INDEXING and I wonder what the equivalent is in OI. Thanks again.

In ARev 2.03 and lower it was !INDEXING. From ARev 2.10 and up through OI it's stored right in the !FILE. Same logic, just removed one step.

Glenn,

Please clarify one thing for me: Was this the result of an RDK full system deployment? If so that bug has been fixed and is going through internal testing and will be released (as 3.7.2 pre-release 1) shortly.

Cameron, it was a full system deployment, ending up with a one user application as a runtime.

Glenn,

The full system deployment problem with indexes has been fixed for 3.7.2. It should go into pre-release this week.

Cameron, will that fix also allow for the correcting of the problem in my customers who have already been deployed?
