Microsoft has acknowledged this as a bug in their implementation of the Netware client API. When we last checked with their support group, they had no plans to fix it. Here is the problem description:
A problem has been reported that OpenInsight using either the Advanced Netware or IPX/Netware drivers does not operate on Windows '95 if the Microsoft implementation of Netware Directory Services (MSNDS.EXE from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/software/servpak1/isprof.htm) is being used. During the boot process, OpenInsight encounters a "blue screen".
Here is the feedback from one of our developers regarding this issue (Nov 3, 1996):
MicroSoft successfully duplicated and acknowledged the MSNDS bug in their NetWare client. I would also recommend us Novell's Client 32. I am not aware of any issue with Novell's latest Client 32.
Using the Client32 product from Novell is the suggested work-around if NDS support is required.
