I recently installed the NLM and Win 95 on my PC.

I am getting "fake" group format errors on verbs (V2.12) that saids "Get Local Target Error"

What does this mean ??

The Get Local Target error is NOT a Group Format Error (GFE).

A GFE is a physical corruption of a file. A phantom GFE is what appears to be a corruption that does not exist but that the filing system reports as a GFE. This is usually a result of faulty network transport or caches being used at the network transport or server disk levels.

The Get Local Target error is a condition where the network driver in Advanced Revelation cannot establish the PC side of an IPX session with the NLM. This is usually due to insufficient IPX sockets for the station to use the NLM driver correctly.

Your best bet to correct the problem is to increase the IPX sockets in your network settings. If this does not resolve the issue, please repost with more information on your workstation configuration such as Windows 95 Version, client network shell (Microsoft, Novell 32 bit client) and version, Network card, etc…
