Is the Novell Client32 for Netware REQUIRED to use the NLM or can I use the Microsoft Client for Netware?
Thanks,

You can use MS's client……if you want. I'm sure we're all very well aware how important it is for Microsoft to ensure there is adequate and accurate support for Novell under Windows95 so I see no reason to see why there would be a problem, can you?
Let me phrase this a slightly more serious way. It works most of the time. Client32 works most of the time. People have had problems with one or the other that went away when they switched. Personally, I prefer Client32. I'd rather have Novell stuff talking to Novell than MS. I see conflict of interest there and don't really see why it would be in MS's interest to have bullet free code. After all, if there's problems with it they can just say to try and NT Server and see if it goes away.

Here's what I found in my testing:
Platform Information:
Servers: Netware 4.11 and Netware 3.12 (where ARev is running)
Workstation: NT 4.0 with Service Pack 3.
Arev version 3.12
Using the MS client in NDIS mode, there were no FFFFF's in the file handle.
Using Netware Client32 (IntraNetware) in NDIS mode, the FFFF's appeared in the file handle.
