We're running ARev 3.12 on a Novell NetWare 5 network; clients are in Win95 environment. After loading the SP3a for NW5, we cannot get ARev to launch; the window opens briefly and then disappears quickly before logging on. Could the NLM have been corrupted or misplaced in the SP installation? Any known or similar problems in similar circumstances? Thanks,

Tim

Try loading AREV using the /S parameter from the commmand line of a DOS window

Ie AREV userxxx /X /M4096 /S

This may give you more information.

The /s switch doesn't show me anything. This problem is happening on every workstation. I've stopped and restarted the NLM on the server; it seems to be loading fine. Could it have been corrupted by installing the Support Pack? Thanks, –Tim

We found the source of our problem. It turns out that the REVBOOT file (along w/ several other files, actually) had been corrupted, either by extracting NW5AP3a files to the SYS_VOL root or by loading a GroupWise support pack. We did both at the same time, so identifying the culprit would be next to impossible. Replaced the REVBOOT w/ a copy from backup and we're working again. –Tim
