Hello I was wondering if anyone has the utilities disk from Revelation G. I need to extract some data from a very old version and I do not have the utility disk. Also is there a system password/ I know this is going out on a limb but i could use all the help I can get.

you'll need to get the utility disk from rev, I believe all of the prgms are copyrighted.

if you dont have lots of data to move you can just use pdisk and then import the data into excel & clean it up a bit.

I have my own export utilities, which I've used for many years for my clients

yes it should be on the utility disk. which you'll need to get directly from Rev.

maybe I'm missing something, do you have the utility disk? if so you'll need to ATTACH A: or do LISTMEDIA A: to see the rev files on the disk

No I do not have the utility disk. I looked on the download section of this site and couldn't find a copy of it. Unfortunately the department has not upgraded this application since 1995, so I am flying blind right now. I don't even have a user guide. I did read the contents of dome of the utilities and figured I could export it. I sent an email to the technical desk, but they have yet to respond.

there wouldnt be anything in the user guide related to porter.

I've actually never used porter in a production mode, I think it was kinda flaky back in 1986 or so.

as I said in a previous email you could use pdisk if you arent moving mountains of data

There is a strong chance that PORTER is installed already. Can you get to TCL (the colon prompt) and type COPY VOC PORTER and press return? If you get some text to screen it may be there already.
