I am using a saved list to output a report to the web. I want to create a muti page report with links at the bottom that will take you from one page to the next. I activate the saved list and loop through the items with a READNEXT @ID statment. But how do I keep track of where I stop on one page and pass that info on to the next page to start where I left off? Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this, or should I try something else entirely. Thanks!

Carl

For the scenario you describe the quick and dirty way would be to remove the keys already served from the list, resave the list then get it again when the next page is asked for. This does however have limitations but it may suit your purpose. Basically with the Web there are many ways to skin a cat and you have to take into account the fact that there may be several reports concurrent - so you need to distinguish between users, that user may give up in the middle of a report, so you need to clean up after them etc etc.

Have you tried using INET_RLIST, Revelation Software's answer to web reporting?

Carl-

OI already does this, using a function named Inet_Rlist. It in turn calls a program named Web_Rlist_Callback.

The source code to Inet_Rlist ships with OI, the source code for Web_Rlist_Callback is available to Works subscribers in the CSP.

Hope it helps-
