It hasn't been long since I received a great fix for my last problem, and now I'm back for another one. Hopefully, someone's experience can tackle this.

When querying a Notes database for all records (4000 records), ViP crashes, giving a kernel32.dll error before exiting the program. However, if I query for something short of the full database, in the neighborhood of 3000 records, I have no problems.

Is this possibly caused by a bad record? Will an upgrade to V2.5 help? Is there a maximum query size?(I'm running on a P133 w/32 megs RAM/Win 95).

1. there is, howvever, it is much larger than 4000 records

1. this workstation is definitely sufficient

Could you answer these questions …

- How are you querying the notes database?

- Are you using Script or Criteria, and if so, how?

- Are you querying a Form or View? If it is a View, have you tried using view paging?

You can use view paging to run queries against Notes views that rapidly return one page of the data object result set at a time.

If the result set is large, view paging avoids the delay that may otherwise occur before data appears. As the user moves around in the view, the data object fetches new pages when necessary.
