I have two printer related problems for separate clients:

1) The printer locks up Arev when it attempts to print to a local printer on LPT1. It seems to print a few jobs fine and then it seizes. I have tested the program itself by spooling to disk and it never seems to have a problem. So it appears as though there is a problem communicating with the printer.

2) Two computers printing to the same printer, it is local to one and obviously networked to the other. It prints fine locally, but after a few print jobs it seems to lose the printers that are defined in the environment. The capture information all appears to be correct. As I mentioned, it does actually print, but it will suddenly lose the printer after a few jobs.

I have a third issue which is non-printer related. Has a patch the FS466 error cause by client32 SP1 been resolved yet?

Help with any of these would be appreciated.

What printer, what driver, what operating system, what version of AREV? How are you initializing the printer? If under Windows 9x, what settings have you added to the printer properties? Have you ried reloading the driver, or using a compatible one (eg. HPIIIP driver for an HP4 printer)?

If you are on Windows 95, if you put a pause statement at the end of autoexec.bat, reboot, hit Ctrl-Break at the pause, then opt to end the batch file, you should be out at DOS with no Windows 95 loaded. Is the printer behaviour the same under these conditions?
