I previously asked the question below:
I have AREV 2.12, NLM and Windows 95.If I try to change my network printer (being logged out of AREV) and it is captured within Novell (capture /sh).....The I log back into AREV and print something, I see it go through the printer queue, it goes to ready and so forth, but it will never print. Why not???I am using Novell IntranetWare in Windows 95. I still can't seem to fix this problem. All solutions were tried such as setting Timeout equal to zero, making sure Autoendcap is enabled…..is there anything else I can try….?
Thanks in advance.

Mina,
How large are the reports that you are printing? Is it possible that your pages aren't being ejected? If the job is getting properly sent to the Windows95 print spooler (the little icon of a printer on your taskbar), then it's most likely the fault of a setting in your printer properties. Try checking the "form feed after job" box in the "Capture Settings" tab of the printer's properties. Double-check or re-set the network path to the printer in the "Details" tab, and you might also want to check if other DOS applications can print to the printer in question. If you don't have any other DOS applications, you can go to a DOS prompt, and type:
COPY CON LPT1 (change lpt1 to be your captured printer port)
THIS IS A TEST PAGE.
L (hit Ctrl-L to get the
Z (hit F6 to get the (depending on your other settings, this routine might print a blank page after the test line)
This routine accesses the printer in the same way that Arev does, so if the printer won't print anything from this command, it's got to be a generic printer-setup problem.

The only way I could get it to print was to be added to a printer group within Novell….then it is captured upon login….
Does this sound correct??? If so, is it possible to switch printers interactively in AREV???
