Arev 2.03 with Novell using either OSPF or EIGRP protocols (AREV Specific)

I have a Client who was running Arev 2.03 using Novell with an OSPF protocol. They have upgraded to EIGRP protocol and are now encountering problems with the Arev application. Is there anything in EIGRP that is different to OSPF that would cause this version of Arev to get upset? Would I need to maybe change the network driver?

Guessing here,
Both protocols should support IPX, which is the protocol by which AREV 2.03 using the Advanced Netware network driver operates. If you are using the NLM, you may experience problems relating to packet size, or optionally to timeout intervals (as both protocols you mention operate over WANs / extended topologies and support a variety of protocols (IP, IPX included)). The only doubt I have is about the presence of a "preferred server" to which locking calls are made. If you have not already set this preferred server parameter in your Novell workstation client, then do so if possible. Also, increase the locking timeout intervals, and IPX retries (if these are adjustable) - anything which may make AREV wait longer for network responses. Also, try re-enabling the BINDERY calls in the Novell client (eg BIND NDS) as well as NDS and see if this helps any. Try resequencing the priority of protocols to have IPX "on top".
