Hello everyone.

I have been going in circles for awhile and need some help. I am trying to invoke a help window for a message listed in the "QuickHelp Messages" from a subroutine, but am a bit unsure what to place in the first field of the "entid" function. There is a active mdi_child window and the subroutine has been called from the menu.

id=entid('????????','APPNOTE',,ctrlentid) parent=get_property(ctrlentid,'PARENT') result=repository('EXECUTE',id,parent,)

The example in the maunal I am using is as follows:

ID=entid("CARPARTS","AppNote","",ctrlentid)

but I am not sure if the "carparts" is supposed to be the name of the message or the name of the application. And if it is the name of the application, where does the name of the message come into play?
