Just a few questions if I may:
1. I have recently installed the upgrade to LH-NLM 1.5 on a Novell 4.11 IntranetWare network. No problems so far but haven't done too much testing with AREV (it DID take care of a problem that we were having with OpenInsight). I recently saw something that said with NetWare 4.11 I needed to load TURBODIS.NLM…can someone fill me in on this please?
2. Is there anyting I need to know about Win98 and the LH-NLM, whether it be 1.1 version or 1.5? Do you use the same shortcut settings that were recommended to use with Win95?
3. Have there been any problems with the NLM and the beta version of the latest NetWare Client32, version 2.5?
TIA,
kevin

With reference to TURBODIS.NLM, this NLM disables the Turbo FAT that 4.11 uses by default. Both Btrieve and AREV have problems if the Turbo FAT is enabled. It is available for download on Novell's web site.

I have upgraded to the same configuration and found the following.
1. Turbodis.nlm must be loaded to eliminate group format errors. This is not new since we had a similar nlm called fatfix.nlm in version 3 novell.
2. V1.5 of the NLM must be used because earlier versions reduce the number of users that can log into AREV.
3. Our new setup has two servers, the main one with 35 novell users housing all applications including AREV for 20 users, the second server contains only comms software on a 2 user novell. Every novell user that logs onto the second server is told when attempting to log into AREV "Attempt to log on too many users". It would seem that AREV believes only two users are allowed instead of 20. Disable login to the second server and all is ok.
4. Windows 98 versus 95. AREV requires expanded memory, window 95 will set it up if requested without any drivers installed in config.sys windows 98 will not. It seems that you must include in the config.sys for 98 both himem.sys and emm386.exe
