We are running an AREV 3.12 DOS App in Netware 4.1. Workstations on the network are running DOS, Win 3.1 & Win 95.

We have installed the Revelation NLM. In the Documentation it recommends modifications to the System.ini file in the 386enh section as follows: TimerCriticalSection=10000, ReflectDOSInt2a=TRUE, UniqueDOSPSP=TRUE, PSPIncrement=5, OverlappedIO=OFF.

Question: Can you tell me what improvements these changes make, and the possible problems if you fail to make them?

Are these changes necessary for both versions of Windows?

Novell recommends that these changes be made for all version of windows using a Novell network. These changes will only improve performance.
