We are testing an upgraded version of our database under Arev 3.12 (from 3.1) and I am hoping that we can make the easywriter window which lists the saved reports a little better than the upgrade made it.

Initially we had no report descriptions showing, but we copied them from one row in the reports table to the one which was showing and that was fixed.

The report names, however, are a little more difficult to fix. We have quite a few reports and cannot read much of the names because the names were prepended with 'easywriter*' or 'rlist*'. This is a problem because it is difficult to tell which report is which.

We've tried modifying the popup definition and dictionary's output format fields to no avail. We could get it to output nothing in the name field or the whole thing, but not to display just the name.

It's possible that we can't do what we want and will have to find another way to deal with this, but it seems to me there should be a way to just display the portion of the field following the '*'. I'm not asking for the code to extract it, I'm looking for a place to put the code so it will work.

I think that if you go through the easywriter reports one by one and make a modification and save it in the rlist utility, it will go ahead and change it from easywriter* to rlist*
