We recently upgraded from AREV 2.12 to AREV 3.12. We are running the current versions (i believe) of the NLM and the LHIPXTSR. Both are version 1.5. This worked fine under vers. 2.12. However, when we recently upgraded the application running on ver. 2 (now on ver.3) we get the FS492 Linear Hash Client/Server Synchronization error. The NLM is running on a Novell 4.11 server. Previously, the network type was specified as IPX Advanced Netware. However, in Ver. 3.12 this network type renders the FS492 error. If we specify Novell Netware as the network type we get no error, but the NLM does not connect with the workstations. Any suggestions? (these are on Win95 machines)

This always means that one of the components is not at the correct version. There are three things to check:
1. The LH.NLM and the LHIPXSER.NLM at version 1.50
2. The LHIPXTSR.EXE TSR file at version 1.50
3. The AREV client driver at version 1.50

Make sure the 1.5 driver is in the 3.12 system. 3.12 made some changes to all the low level drivers and reloaded a full SYSNETWORKS, which removes all NLM and NPP drivers you might have added in an earlier version.
