I have found several threads on the board about this, but I'm still confused as to if there is a final resolution.

In a nutshell, we are testing the Win2k Service and a variety of desktop OSes. On my Win95/Win98 clients, when I check WHO, the Station ID is set to :, where increments (I'm assuming using the AREVPID.DAT file) and is the local machine name. However, on the Win2k/WinXP boxes, Station ID is set to 0:. The leading number is never incremented.

From my testing, it appears that record locking works just fine in this scenario. From the other threads, it appears that this would only be an issue if we ran multiple sessions of ARev on the same PC. Is that correct?

We are not currently, nor do we plan on it, using Citrix or similar technology. Furthermore, we actually track logins by machine and warn the users if they are starting a second session. The users are encouraged to not do this.

I did see mention, by Steve Smith, of a program called $SETSTAT, but the link is dead. Is this program still available, and is it something I should bother with?
