No Math Processor nor EMS under NT (AREV Specific)

We're setting up some new Pentium NT stations using the Novell Client. We have copied the PIF, BAT, AUTOEXEC and CONFIG files as per our old Pentiums. AREV won't detect EMS nor the Math Processor. Where do we look next?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Chris,
In CONFIG.NT, load HIMEM.SYS, the EMM386.EXE. Also, load the EMS in the PIF (called shortcut in WinNT/9x) in the Memory tab of the shortcut.

Umm, NT 4.0 doesn't come with EMM386.EXE and doesn't use it so it isn't necessary to add this to CONFIG.NT

Try
\arev\arev.exe username/x/m4096
in the command line of properties in the icon.

True. I forgot for a second there.

Tried all that, but no go. It's the "math processor=none" that really intriques me…

When you set up your shortcut in Win NT W/stn you set the memory
with 4096 expanded and extended memory to none.
My need to take a twofold approac though …..
Right mouse click on AREV.EXE and set the properties for that first.
Then set the properties for your batch file to trigger arev.
We have no difficulty in achieving 4Mb RAM available to arev this way.

Firstly, my apology for the spelling errors …. more careful next time.
The issue with respect to maths co-processor should be a non-issue!
The performance of the pentium processors far outweigh the equivalent
performance of an 80486 based processor with a maths co-processor.
Our clients have pentium units ranging from 133MHz through to 550MHz
and none of them have performance issues.
The greater problem is sufficient base memory within the unit such
that there is enough resource to run all of the resident apps
inclusive of AREV.
NT Workstation is very resource hungry so we recommend a minimum of
128Mb RAM as base memory ….. despite the general recommendation of
64Mb which in our opinion is quite insufficient.
Once again, we are prepared to exchange email on the topic.
