I am in the process of trying to test a copy of a DOS Ceridian ver. 2.37 (Ensemble). A copy of this environment came from another network. When I try to login I receive the following message:

Linear Has IPX Driver - REVMEDIA Open Error: FS477

REVPARAM file specifices server only access mode.

Unable to Open bootmedia map.

The copy of the environment is running on Novell 4.11. We are using an IPX protocol to connect with the Ceridian/Novell server. The original environment is running with NWIP protocol and Novell version 4.11.

In advance, thank you for your help in this matter.

We had the same problem on a brand new Dell computer with Win98. We switched from 32 bit to 16 bit real mode network driver which got AREV running. That may not be a solution but it took care of our problem.

When I get that message, I simply log off the network and log back on. I assume it is related to a stale network connection in this case, although it could be other things as well.

I'm assuming that you are loading the LHIPXTSR program before loading Ensemble?
