?Find? function fails to scroll (OpenInsight Specific)

Scenario: my PC, OI System Editor. Shift-F3 to search for a string of chars. The search works fine, but, if the string is outside the visible text, one has to use the vertical scroll bar to scroll the text until the selected text becomes visible, because text does not automatically scroll to show it.
This was not always so, but I don't know why. I have installed the application on the other copy of OI we have (via backup and restore) in another PC, and on it does work fine, including the ?find? I have added programatically to an Edit Box (which doesn't either work on my OI and my PC).
Please note: in my PC, the ?find? function does the scrolling when I work with my text editor or with Notepad.

You wouldn't happen to have a wheel mouse or Win 2000 installed?
Try a search of this site for "wheel mouse", this kind of problem has occured before. I am not sure if there were any solutions, or maybe the solutions involved upgrading to the latest version of OI.
We have Win95 mostly, and when one of our developpers installed a wheel mouse the F3 search (in system editor) stopped showing you where it had found the target string. And wheeling didn't work either. We fixed it by uninstalling the wheel mouse drivers but that doesn't help with Win2000 where the problem occurs even though you haven't ever installed a wheel mouse.

I have seen the same problem about three years ago - so you are not going insane. I only ever saw it happen on one computer (probably a Win 95 laptop I think). I suspect the problem is outside OI. You could try reinstalling Windows or upgrading from Win 95 to Win 98?
