Just a note to thank Kevin for his help in sorting out a major mess.

Client called complaining of FS231, Files=1 error message when attempting to start OI 3.75 app. Windows2000 server had destroyed itself and on-site support people had rebuilt server and restored from backup.

Prior to rebuild had been running NTService 2.1 without problems.

Checked mappings, shares, DLL's without success.

Kevin suggested adding a file named LHSRVC.LOG in the same directory that the LHService was installed in.

Stopped NTService, added .log file, restarted NTService, attempted login and checked the .log file. "Can't open REVEMEDIA file…." was found in the log file.

Turns out the backup wasn't working correctly and indeed the REVMEDIA.* files were among the missing.

Thanks again Kevin!

That will teach them about having a better beckup strategy. I'll bet they backed up while files were open and therefore it skipped them. I've had the same problem in the past with supposedly knowledgeable IT types before. I'll also bet that other things are missing too ..
