We have found a work-around for all of the problems we were seeing with the new Novell clients, starting with v2.5.
The core problem is that Novell has changed the behavior of the client when a MAP ROOT command is used. It no longer behaves as it did under previous versions. They did not, however, change the behavior of the standard MAP command.
Our solution was to launch all of our AREV and OI applications from a mapped drive that DID NOT use the MAP ROOT command. For example, use MAP S:=SERVER/SYS: rather than MAP ROOT T:=SERVER/SYS:APPS/RTI. Then launch the application using the full path from S: rather than the map root path from T:
Hope this helps.

Thanks,
BTW have you used the Zen / NAL delivery sytem (dynamic desktop). I'm intersted in the NAL approach because it allows the mapping of an application only as required. This is important when using CD-Rom servers as as soon as we map a CD-Rom server Arev / OI freaks out (when running under NLM).
