Our Arev 3.12 client recently moved their system from a Novell server to an NT server.

Their system tech says "Everything was copied and is exactly the same." but... Our app uses PDISK to write to a network drive and after the move, PDISK gets an "illegal operation" message. But it does work OK when PDISKing to their local C drive.

We checked for valid ownership and existance of directories..all OK

Any ideas on what the problem/solution might be?

Just a guess, but if it isn't AREV, Check DOS environment size and COMSPEC= environment parameters.

NT SP3 tightens the reins on DOS boxes. Are you actually running on the server or running from workstations? If WS, are they NT or Win95?

Check the notes with SP3 (my server is at a client site, so I can't check tonite or I would), but I think you'll find something about rights when writing to the server from a DOS box (seems familiar, anyway ).
