Netware 32bit Client and ARev1 (AREV Specific)

We are running ARev1 and have several sites running Netware 32bit Client version 2.2.0.
When record numbers are allocated ARev does not seem to recognise that a network exists.
For example, 2 operators add customers through a screen which has a sequence key. The same default value (eg key=1000) gets allocated to two new customer records if the second customer is started before the first is saved.
On older versions of Client this was not a problem.
Is there any simple solution to this problem?

Julie, it seems like record locking is not working. Try calling up the same record on both workstations to see if you get an error message. If not then locking is not working. Check your Network Driver by typing Who. Also if you are using Arev in Windows 95 it is suggested that you should be running the NLM. I personally have tested Arev 3.12, Novell Netware Driver running on Windows 95 workstations using Client 32 version 2.2 and found locking to work just fine. Although it does not prevent GFE's.

We got the same problem. We ran Arev 2.10 in win95, and using Novell 32 bit client. The locking capablity was lost.
My solution is using the Novell Intranet Client for win95 instead. After we install the Intranet Client, the locking problem gone.
You can download the Intranet Client and try. Hope that it help.
