We are running into this error message at the server:
The "LHOpen Session" call failed, returning LH error number 1022, file no. 0, group no. 0, Max no. of licensed users exceeded.
we have unlimited licenses for AREV (developer) and OI (runtime).
Is 'unlimited' users is limited to 256 users?
We are running an OI and AREV system using the sharing some data tables on a single file server (windows 2003 server with Windows Service ver 2.1 with patch). We do have 50 plus AREV users and around 15 OI users at a given time. Arev users could be running upto 4 to 5 sessions at a given time.
I have seen a similar posting dated 2002, that rules out Windows 2003 server. We moved to Server 2003 a month ago from server 2002, and this error has erupted only after this move.
Any input would be greatly appreciated !

Each AREV session will take a licence so if they have 5 open per machine yes you will hit the 256 limit of the old unlimited. This was more users than you could actually have on a Novell server so to all intents and purposes it was unlimited.

Thanks Sprezzetura.
This is not what we wanted to hear. Could we support 300 plus users (sessions) by having two servers (two AREVs exes and two windows services) attached to shared data volumes on one of the two servers?
Again thanks for your help.

There are also Enterprise B (500) and Enterprise C (1000) licenses available. We have a UK client stress testing 1,000+ at the moment.
We suggest you speak to your local Revelation sales office.

But, that option is only available for OI. Is it not ? What about AREV license for 500 or 1000 users? Or the DOS network limit is at play here?
