In what can only be described as stunning irony given our problems with DEP and 2.1 recommendations, we recently - through a long process of painful elimination and logical leg work- discovered that switching AREV to the UD Driver eliminated our IDX_SETS errors.

The reports in question had a select using 2 indexed fields.
Changed to 2 selects with 1 index in the first and ran ok.
Removed all indexes (ensured no !filename existed)
Add all indexes and rebuild.
Still got idx_sets error.
Made the 1 index 2 part select permanent in all reports.
Now runs fine.
Do not have a clue why it was suddenly a problem.
