You speak much better English than I speak Spanish!
Unfortunately, I am still not able to understand your question. Are you able to try asking your question again? Do you know someone who can check your words?
We would like to help you.

The problem of us the Latins when speaking or to write in English… It is in fact to think in Spanish…
What can I know what is the name of the table who is procesing by the background indexing process…
I wait you can understand my question.
Thank you..

In the "environ-constants" in the position 5, there is a constant: ENV_INDEX_TIME$… The process that uses it… The indexer (is correct?)… how know that table is processing????
Thank you very much for your distinguished and nice attention.

(http://translate.lhsl.com/)
When you REBUILD an index, the ssytem uses SEND_INFO to let you know what is going on. See http://www.sprezzatura.com/senl/volume2/v2i6.htm#_Toc445126843 for more details. There seems to be no way of trapping this information from background indexing although it might be possible to get from a dedicated index server.

With a dedicated index server you could get the handle of the OpenEngine window and extract the text value of the static that says what file is being processed - but this is heavy duty and as the workstation is dedicated it is dificult to see where the routine could be slotted in.
