I appear to be having the common problem with 'Server is not available or CGI has no access rights'. I am only getting this on IIS 5 on a Windows 2000 server. I have noticed that Peter Branster had the same problem in September 2000. Does anyone know what the solution was as I have already tried the Registry change and IUSR_computername change with no success.

Nick,

Have you tried the settings in this SENL article.

Other suggestions:

Use different web-publishing software

Use a different web-server

Give the Anonymous User Administrator rights (NOT recommended!!)

Thanks.

I have set up as specified in your document, but still no luck. I have even set the Anonymus user with Administrators rights but still does not work. Any further ideas would be welcome.

PS. Has anyone else got IIS 5 with Windows 2000 working?
