Because OpenInsight is a Virtual Machine you simply write the application in Linux and when the time comes to deploy on Windows acquire the Windows Virtual Machine licenses.

ok, thanks
and if I got the evaluation copy of openinsight, could I create a program for linux and run it on windows? I mean, Does the virtual machine for windows come with the evaluation copy?, if don't how can I test the performance of my application built on linux only for demostration?

What you will get in the 'demo' is a fully functional copy of OpenInsight with 30 days to try.
It *should* do everything that the windows version does.
The limitations in compatibilty *should be* only those things written to use Linux specific featuers or Windows specific features (dlls, ocx etc).
If you just the OI environment you *should be* ok.
We are just now starting to test moving an application from windows to Linux. If i could just get linux to .. err .. work correctly (not OI and linux .. other things i want to use in linux)
Do you have any specifics that you are worried about?
