A client installed an deployment which has been used by others.

The upgrade went fine and the user continued working in OI 3.6 without problems.

Later they left OI and when returning into OI got the 'OINSIGHT Boot Up failed'. Normally rebooting the PC clears the problem. In this case it did not work.

A backup copy of OINSIGHT.EXE and OENGINE.EXE were installed but the error remained.

Any one have any idea what else would need to be restored? The clients full backups failed hence we would like to minimise the number of files to be e-mailed to get them going.

What happens if they just run the engine? Any different error messages? If the engine loads, what happens if you run OI then? What displays in the system monitor? Try running an engine log. There might be an error message there. You can also try creating an LH2.LOG file at DOS. After the error, examine the contents and there might be a clue as to which file is missing or corrupt.

You could also just have a corrupted or missing LH.DLL or REVBOOT file.
