When sorting on a single non-indexed field after activating a select list of 10,000 items we get an FS100 error (Record Not Found). The message does not tell us what record is not found. When we list the entire file with the field we do not get any error at all. The problem is not with the field. The problem seems to be with the sorting operation with the field. The field is just a name which maxes out at 25 alphanumeric characters.

We are using AREV 2.12 and this happens on all operating system

platforms with plenty of memory. We have already tried replacing all files in REVBOOT including the AREV.EXE. This had no effect.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I suspect you have a record with a field mark in the key. This would result in a select thinking the two parts of the key were separate keys. Then, when trying to read them, the records would not be found.

It is not the case that a key as a system delimiter in it. We checked all keys.
