Hi all,

I have an edit table, with columns which are not wide enough to display all the text that is placed into them.

I decided it would be a nice feature if I could display a bubble help panel which contained all the text within the chosen cell, possibly firing from the poschanged event.

Anyone know if this is possible?

Richard,

Sprezz has developed some logic that essentially does this. You might want to negotiate some code from them if you are in a hurry to make this work.

Otherwise, the basic principle would be to create a very small dialog box with no title bar and a single static text with the background color of your choice. On your POSCHANGED event you would call this as a modeless dialog (see Create_Dialog function) and use the TIMER event to automatically close it after so many seconds. The trickier logic will be to place it over the cell so it looks good and to auto-size the dialog for various lengths of text.

Thanks for the ideas Don, I am not in a rush (yet) to incorporate this feature, so I might just have a crack at what you suggested!

I'll let you know how I get on…
