Is there is a maximum field length in OI32?
I'm just wondering because we have VARCHAR(65531) in all our dictionaries, but everything seems fine when I shove a lot more data than 64k into a field.
Does the LH filesystem take any notice of the dictionary datatype or is it just there for the SQL processor and ODBC driver?

No the service doesn't care what data goes in there. It would be nice to have the option but right now .. no
This is the same throughout OI. The only 'field' limitation is what the controls can handle .. but you can write a really big field to the db if you want.
