NT Service H failure - desperately seeking answers! (AREV Specific)

I posted this query earlier but have had no replies - can anyone help?
We have the Revelation NT service loaded on an 8 user NT site. After 4-5 users have logged into NT, further NT users are unable to log in. The NT enigineer says it is a Linear Hash Service problem.
We are getting the following errors occurring:
They are all Event ID: 30000 source: LinearHash
"The "LHOpenSession" call failed, returning LH error number 1022, file number 0, group number 0. Maximum number of liscensed users exceeded."
I notice, also, that we have also experienced an "LHCreateFiles" error.
The following message has also occurred, which may or may not be related:
Event ID: 201 Source: LiscenseService
No license was available for user (username here) using product SMBServer 4.0.
I know very little about NT & the NT engineer printed off the above NT error log messages for me.
As far as I am aware the LinearHash s/w does not have an associated number of liscensed users. I assume that is controlled within Revelation itself. And these problems occur when logging into NT, not when logging into Arev.

Jocelyn,
It sounds like this is due to attached servers,
possibly a CD-ROM server not responding properly
to locks.
Either that or it's a Y2K bug .

So this error occurs on machines when they login, not when they try and load ARev?
What is in the startup command for the login? It sounds like something is trying to connect or set semaphore locks that the service is using to track the user locks. The service shouldn't be responding to anything outside of RTP57A calls from the software.

We were having problems logging into NT but the NT guy has now bumped the number of NT users up so that's OK now - we still don't know why it was a problem.
Today, however, the NT events log reported the following:
Between 6/14/99 7:18:13 and 7:18:31 (i.e. within 20 seconds) there were 6 failures as follows:
Source: LinearHash
Category: None
Event: 30000
User: None
Computer: NELNTS01
Type: Error
Description:
The "LHOpenSession" call failed, returning
LH error number 1022, file number 0, group number 0. Maximum number of licensed users exceeded.
There were no other failures logged for the rest of the day. Arev users have reported no noticeable problems but I'm feeling a bit uneasy about these error messages.
