Hello Techies:

As you know its the year 2001 and unfortuantely at our site we are using the DOS version of Arev which is not Y2K compliant. I am having a problem keeping the leading zero on one of my primary keys to read 01 for the year 2001, its not a date field its an integer field. I need it to start with the number 01* and it drops the zero and now we are having to us 21* as the basis to start the sequence for this year; which is not making Administration happy.

So my question to you is how do you stop it from automatically suppressing the leading zero if you want it in your format for an integer field?

Please send me your phone number if possible. I am at a mission critical site and I am hoping that changing the validation pattern for this field is the answer but thus far has failed for 2000 sequence using 00 as the leading two digits. We ended up using 20 as the two leading digits for this primary field last year. But are hoping to use 01 as the first two digits. Can I pad with leading zero or can I stop zero suppression?

It did not ship with all versions of ARev though, it started about 3.03.

Incidentally, all versions of ARev were Y2K compliant.
