What version of NDS is compatible with the AREV NLM 1.10? We have been having GFEs and reindexing *DAILY*. The NLM is NOT WORKING. We have gone from 1.06 to 1.10.

1). We are a novell shop. V4.11. NDS 4.95. Client32 V2.2. Turbod.exe patch implemented. All clients are win95B. We have a WAN environment.

2). IS THERE ANY DOCUMENTATION FOR NLM 1.5? I have the upgrade and want MORE INFORMATION. WHAT ISSUES DOES IT ADDRESS?

3). Background Indexing. Workstation Versus Server? What is the best setup? How is it setup? Or is the NLM supposed to do this without a GFE?

4). Are there any known issues / incompatibilities with Compaq Proliant 1000 Servers? Switches? Routers?

Doug,

The documentation for the NLM 1.5 is available in PDF format in the Knowledge Base Section of our website, located under the Network Products Suite.

There is also a link from the Home Page to details about the new features of the NLM 1.5.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response. But, any ideas for bullets 1,3, and 4?

Just a casual observation from 1 who has been watching this board for about a year:

The most common network-related problems people have with AREV are locking and GFE's. About 1/2 the people having problems have the NLM and the other 1/2 don't. The problems are the same for each group. This led us to conclude to not purchase the NLM.

We have been running an AREV application on an NT server for about 1 year. Problems with NT caused us to move the app to a Netware 4.11 server last week. No errors yet on NW. Fingers crossed…
