We want to buy the full newest version of OpenInsight. We don't want to make an upgrate. What can happened with our applications which were developed in OI 4.0.1 ? How can we remove them from the old version to another? Can they be damaged or not ?

Curious as to why you don't want to upgrade, it's probably easier…

But you can export it. You would need to create deployment and then create the app in your new version and import it.

Can it be damaged?…errrmm, yes. Sometimes. Make sure you take a full backup first.

IMHO the best way to move from one to the other

is to

1. Purchase the latest version of OI - whether by upgrade

of outright purchase - this is a Licence Issue.
You could install a Eval version using your
 7.0 licence serial no

2. Backup you application using APPBACKUP from your 4.01

3. Create the same Application (including folders etc) in

 7.0

4. Restore the Backup into your 7.0 using APPBACKUP

Isn't this an excellent reason why you should take out a Works Subscription! I had a feeling it was a great time to buy.

This would give you acess to a continual stream of updates.
