We are having a problem when attempting to run AREV on any WinXP SP2 workstation, which does not occur when running the exact same environment on a Win2K workstation.

Our current environment is running AREV 3.12 on a Netware 6.0x server, with the Universal Driver 3.0 (UD3). All user workstations are running Win2K, and having no problems. We also have a dedicated Win2K workstation that is running two AREV indexing sessions for the two AREV instances on the server.

Shortly after we launch AREV on a WinXP machine, we get an FS231 error on the indexing machine - in both DOS indexing sessions, despite the workstation only accessing one of the instances.

FS231

RTP57

This would seem to point to there being some kind of clash between XP and the UD3. The XP machine seems to be locking out any other machine from accessing AREV via the UD3, hence the index machines both error.

We've tried all the memory and workstation tweaks that we can find on the forum and knowledge base - can anyone suggest a reason that this might be occuring, and/or suggest anything else that may fix this problem?

Thanks.
