All the backups have the same GFE, hence we

are not too keen to rebuild the file.

For some reason REVREPOS doesn't fix like normal LH tables. The best bet is to first make a temp file and COPY_ROW as many records from REVREPOS as you can. Backup (by renaming) your REVREPOS. Then install a fresh copy of OI elsewhere and copy over the new REVREPOS file. Finally, COPY_ROW all the records from your temp file into this new REVREPOS. Hopefully, the number of rows affected by the GFE will be minimal and easily re-created.

Jane,

I hope you were able to repair your table. I wanted to let you know that there is a white paper in our upcoming 3.5 release that describes how to use Repository Mirroring to prevent losing repository data. Basically what it does is create a second copy of your primary repository tables and mirrors all writes (and optionally reads). When it detects an error in one, it informs you and recovers the data from the other.
