Doing a lh_verify in the rcpt table, I get a group 0 gfe with a code error of 12. Then when I dump rcpt, Group 1 is showing a GFE, and it will not allow me to right arrow. When I go through the steps of correcting the Group 0, everything checks out. I control f the group 1 gfe, and then I do an lh_verify rcpt again, and I still get the group zero gfe with a code error of 12. and no backup either. what steps do I take to correct this with minmal data loss. thanks in advance for any help

When I have critical data that I don't want to lose, and I get a group 0 GFE I try the following. It usually retrieves most of the data.

MAKETABLE JUNK.TABLE

SELECT

COPY TO:(JUNK.TABLE

CLEARFILE ;* This will get rid of the GFE, because the data is gone

SELECT JUNK.TABLE

COPY JUNK.TABLE TO:(

NOTE: Definitely want to back up before trying this. There is no undo for a CLEARFILE.

Well we have certain in-house utilities which grab all available data at the dos level and copy to a new file. How big is the file?
