Upgrading AREV version 1 to version 3.12 (AREV Specific)

Some differences include:
(a) dictionaries reformatted
(b) templates updated between version 1 & 2 AREV
© some new opcodes (instructions) added (so recompile all programs)
(d) new syntax for some TCL commands (eg. copyrow instead of copy,
(e) a new Easter egg
(f) expanded memory support
(g) "tables/rows" nomenclature instead of "files/records"
(h) if you want to go to OI then remove dots from your dictionary names
(i) changes to indexing structures and files
(j) SQL syntax support
(k) minor changes to numeric precision (a patch for 2.12 if I recall)
(l) pulldown menu support
(m) pull-up menu support
(n) the 3.1 to 3.12 upgrade sometimes may need to be applied twice.
(o) you may have to upgrade to 2.x before you upgrade (again) to 3.x
(p) native files renamed, eg templates file becomes windows file , etc.
(q) AREV.COMMON changed content for template-based routines
® system file became sysenv (??? not sure it's been a while)
This is only a loose list. There are upgrade notes available for each release (somewhere on this site the upgrade files live - these carry release notes - take a good long look)
