Is it possible to get expanded memory on XP-clients?

I know that with W2000-clients it can be done through the shortcut, but XP doesn´t seem to pick up the memory setting.

Thanks

Mostly it depends on the chipset / motherboard configuration. It's a hit-or-miss thing. If you search this forum for EMS AND XP, you'll find some information that others have discovered. I've gotten EMS to work on XP on several machines, but not at the low-end of the food chain. Often, on-board NIC support seems to make a big difference. In a couple of cases, I had to disable the on-board NIC and use an external card.

Is your shortcut to a batch file, or to the arev.exe ???

An old trick is to edit the shortcut to point to the exe, make your changes to the memory/misc settings, then lastly point it back to the batch file. The exe memory settings are inherited by the batch file this way.
