Does anyone know what file the quick.audit setup for changes is stored for each file? I am using version 3.02 and trying to edit the fields writing to changes for the EMP file without using quick.audit. I do not have enough memory to use quick.audit on such a large dictionary.

thanks!

I take it you are talking about one of the Ceridian products such as HR-1 or Ensamble.

It's been several years since I've worked on these so I don't know tha answer right off hand. I can look at a copy at home unless Victor Engel should happen to look at this message board before that.

In Ceridian's HR-1, field 46 of the dictionary record indicates if it is a Quick Audit field.

Place a "1" in field 46 of the dictionary record, and it will be audited into the CHANGES file. Clear field 46 and the auditing will be turned off.

Just type "EDIT DICT.EMP " and you are in business.
